I worked as a research assistant in computational histopathology from January to May 2025. Background Pathologists are medical specialists that know how to interpret human tissue in microscopes. They are able to tell if there is one disease in the tissue sample, so histopathology is the science and practice of diagnosing from tissue samples. As with the entire world, there is a shortage of medical professionals, so developing computational techniques for that is interesting.

I started working in Laser Welding in January 2024 as a part time research assistant at the university of Turku. Background Laser Welding in a manufacturing process that joins metals using laser. My contribution LANE2024 Paper + Talk NOLAMP20 Paper + Talk

Here I am summarizing the research of over 3 years that I conducted while studying at USP-Brazil. Background Directed Energy Deposition is an Additive Manufacturing process that delivers metal to a region called melt pool. Our setup was based on laser as a heat input and metal powder as a material source, but DED can also use wire as an input material and electric arc as energy input. My contributions Heatmap We wanted to plot what happened to the process in a graphical way.
